Libri come opere visuali uniche e irriproducibili, odorosi e tattili, che attraverso vari mezzi espressivi raccontano storie, comunicano esperienze, danno forma a pensieri, materializzano sogni e silenzi , insinuano fremiti emozioni bagliori d'infinito: sono i libri d'artista, libri non libri, in cui l'artista pensatore-artigiano-amanuense, inventa e sperimenta tutto l'immaginabile e l'inimmaginabile, piccoli scrigni o sipari aperti o architetture eccentriche che richiedono un "godimento fluente, un'azione partecipata" e che si offriranno alla visione del pubblico nelle stanze soffusamente decorate di Palazzo Grassi.
La Mostra, organizzata da VERBAMANENT-PRESìDIO DEL LIBRO IDROMELE di SANNICOLA-ARADEO- TUGLIE nonché FONDO ARCHIVIO DEL LIBRO D'ARTISTA DROSOS, è la conclusione del Concorso Internazionale del libro d'Artista "FABBRICANTI DI LIBRI", 3° edizione 2009, unico nel Meridione, che ha registrato la partecipazione di 57 Artisti, italiani e stranieri (Danimarca, Corea del Sud, Argentina, Brasile, USA,...) e di altri Fuori Concorso.
Tra le partecipazioni da segnalare l'allestimento di un'ambientazione, Atmosfere di un libro, exhibition of works by students of the Chair of the Artistic Anatomy by Profs. Vincent Jerome and Rosa Anna Pucciarelli: through the creation of a special atmosphere, the visitor will receive the works revisiting the concept of the artist's book and contemporary work of art;
